DNA Panel for Polymorphism Analysis in Caucasian Population
(Panel A) comprises 576 DNA samples from unrelated disease-free individuals (288 women and 288 men), who declared themselves Caucasian/Eastern-European. The individuals reside in a geograpic region of high ethnic complexity. For this reason, the panel reflects the Caucasian genetic background rather than the genetic background of a more specific ethnic group.
The panel is organized as 48 strips of 12 tubes (see figure below). The first 6 tubes in each tube strip contain DNA from women, the second 6 tubes contain DNA from men. Composition of different polymorphism analysis products is shown on the left. For the individuals' age information, please click
